Meet Your Snorkeling Boat Captain
Capt. Lori Poling
“As a “Marine Corp brat,” Captain Lori Poling has traveled to many places around the world. After visiting numerous destinations, she found her home in the Florida Keys. Since her arrival, she has spent most of her time as snorkel and dive boat captain and a scuba instructor throughout the beautiful reefs of Key Largo and the surrounding keys.
“Last weekend, I had my 35th birthday party on the Happy Cat. We did a Sunset/ Full Moon cruise, and it was amazing!! I wanted to thank the crew for being so great, and especially Captain Lori!! She brought the Happy Cat all the way up to Key Largo to pick up and drop off our group so that we wouldn’t have to come down to their marina. She even let some of us ride the boat back to the marina so we could go out in Islamorada! She came up two days before to check out the dockage and depth to make sure there would be no problems, and so my birthday party would run smoothly. I really appreciate everything everyone at Robbie’s did for my group to make my birthday special!! We are already talking about another Happy Cat trip for my parents’ anniversary. Thanks again for everything–I will be recommending private charters on the Happy Cat to all of my friends!! — Kristin Arch

Been with the happy cat near the lighthouse and on the Indian key state historic site and it was a amazing trip. We totally loved it. Although the Sea was rough at this time we had great visibility in the water and saw a shark, sea turtles and lots and lots of colored fish, even barracuda were at sight. Crew was great caring and informative and provided a good terrific day. I can recommend this for everyone, all ages. Thx guys.

“Great Day Trip Snorkeling”

My wife and I booked a day trip snorkeling out of Robbie’s with Capt John and First Mate Christian. It was a fantastic experience with beautiful clear waters and weather that couldn’t have been better. We went to two different reefs and both were fantastic. We were able to view all sorts of tropical fish, turtles and quite a few barracudas. The price of admission was more than reasonable ($40) for a really unique and enjoyable time. John and Christian are true professionals who were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We will do this again when we return to Islamorada.

“Fabulous snorkeling and restaurant”

Initially arrived for snorkeling, however the ocean was too choppy to go out. The customer service was truly amazing….for not just that day, but until we could get out on the Happy Cat. In the meantime, we fed the tarpon, shrieking while they grabbed the bait out of our hands, had a terrific fresh seafood lunch…shopped the quirky stalls, and then did come back when the weather suited, which was our last day in the keys. Had a fabulous breakfast, and then off we went.
Having snorkeled previously, I had read other reviews that this was not to be missed. Correct. The reefs around the Alligator lighthouse proved to be a once in a lifetime experience. Truly spectacular, nevermind the uber friendly crew on board.
