Our most popular day trip! We will paddle through pristine mangrove tunnels where you will encounter the spectacular flora and fauna of a mangrove eco-system. Enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife that opens in a new windowFlorida Keys kayaking has to offer. The tour lasts about 2 hours. This is your chance to get up close with the lovely creatures of the wild. Book your kayak and paddleboard rentals at Robbie’s here!
A beautiful relaxing paddle through mangrove tunnels and saltwater flats seeing Mother Nature at her finest during this Florida Keys sunset cruise on a kayak. Embark 2 or 3 hours before sunset. Breathtaking! Perhaps you will see the fabled Green Flash while out there!
Indian Key State Park
Pack your snorkel gear and cooler, and head for Indian Key State Park. Both first-time and experienced paddlers find the 20-minute paddle to the island very enjoyable and easy. Beach your kayak and explore the remnants of the old wrecking colony destroyed by a surprise Indian attack. Island visitors can enjoy a self guided walking tour and snorkeling.
Our Mangrove Canopy System
Five minutes around the corner from our shop, nature provides us with a spectacular mangrove system. You will find exploring mangrove tunnels and flats fascinating and relaxing. Manatees, fish, bald eagles, egrets, nurse sharks and stingrays are just a few of the Keys critters you may encounter. You never know what you might see! Maps are provided for easy navigation and fishing rods are more than welcome.
Lignumviatae Key Botanical State Park
Visiting the Matheson House on Lignumvitae is like stepping back in time. The house was built in 1919 and reflects how island people lived during a simple time when most of their needs were met by the land and sea around them. The island offers a variety of unique botany. Guided one-hour tour by park rangers are available at 10:00am and 2:00pm Friday through Sunday for a charge of only $5.00.
