Offshore fishing is one of the things that Islamorada is famous for and Robbie’s has been doing it for more than 40 years. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time fisherman, we have state-of-the-art boats, and experienced crews to make your trip unforgettable. With our “year-round” fishing calendar in Islamorada, you can pick from a variety of fishing experiences. Offshore fishing is what put Islamorada on the map. Many legends such as Ernest Hemingway, Zane Grey and Ted Williams called this area home at one time or another.

Spring and Summer are in the height of dolphin season. Dolphin (sometimes known as Dorado or Mahi-mahi ) come to us in abundant numbers and often travel in large schools. Seeing the large heads of a male dolphin, called a “Slammer,” streaking across the wake to strike a bait will certainly get your blood pumping. The “Schoolie” dolphin are no slouches either on spinning rods in a feeding frenzy with sometimes six or eight fish hooked up at once, in seemingly endless supply. Throw in a few Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjack, or an occasional Blue Marlin and you have the essence of our summertime offshore fishing.

If your group needs more than one boat, we can arrange charters for as many boats as you need. Or, if you would like to arrange a split charter with more fishing enthusiasts, feel free to view open split charter opportunities here.
