"While
in Islamorada, stop at Robbie's Marina for the cheapest entertainment
in town. The attraction here is hungry tarpon-a prehistoric-looking
fish which averages six feet in length and 150 pounds. A dollar
admission and two dollars for a bucket of fish enable you to feed
the swarming mass of over 100 fish, who will leap from the water
to snatch a fish from your hand (and your hand too, if you're not
careful).
An additional attraction is the pelicans, which do their best to steal the fish from the jaws of the tarpons. While Bethany was holding a fish, hoping to coax a tarpon from the water, a pelican swooped from the sky, snatching the fish from her hand with startling speed.
